Right kind of Saree for 7 different body types

Here are some tips for my lovely ladies who love to wear saree but sometimes get confused to choose the right kind of saree for their body types. Read along to knw about the right kind of saree for 7 different body types..

Hourglass shaped

Ladies with body curvature can flaunt their curve with light weight sarees with small prints or embroidered motifs. If you fall in this category then even solid, single tone colors can look awesome on you. You can opt for sleeveless blouses or crops to enhance your body frame accompanied by chiffon, georgette and crepe sarees. Choose thin borders to flaunt your body curvatures.

Pear shaped

Woman with a pear-shaped body has a heavier bottom compared to their upper body. So if you fall in this category this tip is perfect for you. To balance out your body frame you can opt for heavily embroidered blouse or brocade/printed blouses 3 quarter sleeves to give fullness to your upper portion  with light and fine saree material like chiffons, goergettes and mul cotton which will make your lower body look less heavier. Blouse, if brighter in color will suit you with light colored saree.

Moderately Slim figure

If you have a moderately slim physique then you can opt for any kind of sarees according to your preference. If you want to show your body lines then go for chiffons and goergettes with thinner borders. If you want to look traditional and want to cover up your curvatures then go for heavy sarees like benarasi, kanjeevaram, jamdani, baluchari with mediam borders.

Very Slim figure

If your physique is very slim then you can opt for heavy sarees like benarasi, organza or cotton which can give you a fullness to your body. Your can choose light color too with embroidery works and broad borders.

Round or Oval shaped

Avoid stiff fabrics like Tant, Jamdani and Benarasi with heavy motifs and broad borders. Choose fine material like soft silk and chiifons . Choose darker colors like black, navy blue, sap green, dusty orange, brown, dark chocolate, maroon. These colors can make you slimmer if you want it like that, or else you can choose any colour to flaunt your body type the way it is. Afterall overweight ladies are charming too.

Short and Slim figure

If you’ve got a short height, then you should avoid sarees with heavy or bigger prints and embroidery. Avoid broad and light color borders rather choose thinner borders of bright colors. Any short and slim women should opt for saree with a thin border. As, it will make them look tall. Sarees with bright colours like red, orange, magenta, pink, blue and green will look awesome on you.

Athletic (Tall & Lean)

If you have a tall and slim figure then go for bold and heavy prints with broader borders. Broader borders compresses the body frame vertically so will help you retain your original height rather than making you look taller. Bigger prints will have a space to flaunt on your body thereby making you look awesome. You  can  choose any shades of color for yourself be it pastel, dark , or bright.
